Department of Informatics

Informatics is a scientific research area that examines the collection, processing, transmission, publication, storage and, functions that convert data into information.  It studies the methods, devices and systems that will perform them, and the effects of these systems on society and individuals, as well asnd information technologies, which establish a connection between communication sectors and informatics.

Developments in communication technologies have enabled new technologies to enter this field. With the influence of new technologies,  publishing practices have evolved from traditional into desktop and digital publishing. Every stage of broadcasting requires the necessary and integrated technological equipment at the desk, and individual and instant broadcasting are becoming increasingly common. In the  Department of Informatics, desktop publishing techniques are examined and their developments are followed, and the social, political and legal processes and their results are investigated. Conducting scientific studies on both desktop publishing and digital publishing is the primary focus of the department.
